Jargon buster

There's a whole new world of terminology, abbreviations and jargon that's specific to each individual sector. So we've put together this glossary to define as many of the terms that you're likely to come across as possible.

CACHE - Is an awarding body in the field of early years, care and education, and playwork.
CCNSG Safety Passport - Is a health and safety qualification for people working on sites.
CIEH - Award qualification for those in the workplace in the following areas: food safety, health and safety, environmental protection and training the trainer.
CIM and CAM - Awards qualifications in marketing including: e-Marketing award; advanced certificate in professional sales management practice (residential); intensive diploma in strategic sales practice (residential), professional certificate in marketing; certificate in professional sales practice (online, blended e-learning); professional diploma in marketing; professional diploma in tourism marketing; professional postgraduate diploma in marketing; introductory certificate in marketing.
City and Guilds - Is an awarding body, awarding vocational and work based learning qualifications including: NVQs, Vocational Qualifications, Single Subject Diplomas, Apprenticeships and Modern Apprenticeships, Higher Level Qualifications, Engineering Council Exams, ILMs, NPTCs and Senior Awards
CLAIT - Computer Literacy and Information Technology is an IT qualification which can be taken at levels one to three.
CompTIA's A+ Technician Certificate - Is an entry-level qualification for computer technicians and engineers.
